ICS (London) Ltd. Successfully Demonstrates its Universal Banking Software BANKS at BankTech 2009, Egypt

Egypt - Cairo: International Computer Systems (London) Ltd. – ICS, the global leading provider of financial services technology solutions and integrated universal banking systems, showcased its fully integrated banking solution BANKS software at BankTech 2009. The event took place from 25- 27 May 2009, at Cairo – Egypt and was held at Fairmont Towers Hotel under the auspices of H.E Dr. Tarek Kamel; Egyptian Minister of Communication & Information Technology and H.E Dr. Ahmed Darwish; the State Minister for Administrative Development. BankTech 2009 was also held under the patronage of The Federation of Egyptian Banks and in co-ordination and participation of the Union of Arab Banks and the Central Bank of Egypt.
Following frequent successful participations of ICS in previous international events, ICS received excellent feedback results and winning lead opportunities. As a first time participant in Egypt, ICS (London) was committed to provide its hosted delegates an impressive and exclusive demonstration of BANKS supreme solutions at BankTech 2009. ICS’ (London) booth was one of the outstanding booths that captured delegates’ attention, due to its fully constructed demonstration for total integrated solutions that is provided to any banks Information Technology needs, and was demonstrated to the hosted delegates solely. The Egyptian banking sector has been experiencing annual growth in assets, deposits, liabilities and a rise in mergers and acquisitions. Consequent to that, two Egyptian banks; Industrial Development Bank of Egypt (IDBE) and the Egyptian Workers Bank, merged to become the Industrial Development & Workers Bank of Egypt. The new merger resulted with having an overall of 19 branches within major and new industrial cities of Egypt, where IDBE had 14 and the Egyptian Workers Bank had 5 branches.

Mr. Khoury presented BANKS systems to the audience, and discussed the customization that was especially made for the Industrial Development & Workers Bank of Egypt. The opening ceremony started at 7 pm on Monday 25th May, 2009, where Mr. Shahin Serag Al-Din; Industrial Development & Workers Bank of Egypt Chairman and Dr. Motassem Kaddah; Industrial Development & Workers Bank of Egypt Board Member were present at the ceremony. Industrial Development & Workers Bank of Egypt was one of the exhibitors and sponsors, where its booth was right in front of ICS’s booth. ICS’s booth was one of the exquisite booths and was busy with delegates who were indulged by ICS’s team in addressing their inquiries.
